Default camper power source

hi guys
i have a 95 z71 and use a slide on camper
i connected it to the wiring harness for the trailer plug
i'm sure there is a way to connect the 12v + to the camper so it runs off one battery and leaves the other as a backup to start the engine
i found the drivers side battery runs to a solenoid on the firewall above the steering column
there is a #10 wire from the battery to one post and another #10 wire to the other post that disappears into the wiring harness
i think this is where i should get my camper power
any idea where that wire is going?
am i on the right track?
thanks
