I have a 2004 Silverado with the 5.3 Vortec. It is starting to get some lifter noise and I know that the camshaft and lifters all need replaced on these when they start to have noise issues with the lifters. I would like to upgrade the cam and lifters with an aftermarket set but I don't want to have to do a lot of extra work, such as valve springs. What is a good aftermarket cam and lifter set that I can get that doesn't require a lot of extra work? I can handle needing to get a custom tune to accommodate the different cam and lifters I just don't wanna have to tear the heads off and replace the valve springs. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
