[hr]P.S. Your Fab-Tech Spindle part number is #FTS-1588-7. That is for a '97 Silverado 5.0L 2WD
extended cab.
That gives you a 4' lift.

[hr]An89Chevy - To answer your question "why lift a 2wd". If you have ever been to Baja, and on any
of their remote beach front access roads you would know why. Lifting the front end up to get larger size tires inturn lifts the differiencials up to clear those large rocks and helps in sand washes - BUT YOU NEW THAT! Also installing rear semi-floating differiencial (limited slip) helps greatly improve traction. Now as far as true "off-roading" goes I would agree 4wd is the way to go. But I just can't see beating those $35,000 to $50,000 (and up) trucks to death.
