I just bought a 2000 Chevy silverado LT 5.3L 4x4. The truck is in excellent condition, only 135 000 kms, but it has a very strange problem. After the check engine light is reset (no codes by the way), it will start over and over with the key and the check engine light will not come on. The very first time I use the key fob to start the truck, the check engine light comes on and stays on until it is reset by a mechanic, (who says there are no codes). I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen this before. It is not a huge deal, but the light is very annoying, I like to have everything working as it should.
