Check Engine and Reduced Power
New 2012 Silverado LTZ. sdDash Engine Lite comes on and Reduced Power Notificatio comes on. Truck barely runs.
Turn off Ignition and leave truck for a few minutes and the Reduced Power notification may/may not go out and Engine Lite stays on. If Reduced Power goes out I can drive at full power but the Reduced Power will recur while driving. Try driving to Dealer who is 30 miles away under reduced power, an amish farmer passed me.
Had it to Dealer and he replaced the Accelerator Sensor and reset the Engine Lite. Fix lasted for a day until I backed down my driveway to hook to a Jetski trailer. Symptoms occured again while backing (coasting) down driveway.
Truck is at Dealer, not a happy customer.

Let us know how it turns out and what it is. Prolly a different sensor and they'll flash your computer. Im curious though. Ive been lucky with my 07, other than blowing the trans at 51k, no sensors yet.

I have an 04 2500HD and the reduced power came on, so I replaced the throttle body. Worked for a month or two, now back to the same thing. Also the pigtail was changed before the throttle body. So what gives? do I have to keep replacing throttle bodies once a month?
As a follow-up, the problem seems to be fixed. They ended up replacing the Wiring Harness between the Body Control Unit and the ECM. Took them awhile and I think it was a last ditch effort because nothing else fixed it.
The OBD codes indicated brake/accelerator sensors which, when replaced, did not fix the problem. Glad it was under Warranty as I would not have not liked the bill, many hours of labor expended.
Thks, for your responses and concern, your the greatest.
