chevy silverado shiftin hard
this has been discussed before. I have an 01 silverado 1500 4x4 5.3 engine, auto with overdrive.
It will usually shift fine til I hit passing gear, then when stopping at a stop sign or any stop, when I start out, it will slam into 2nd gear when shifting, then slam into 3rd. It will continue to do this until I shut the truck off for about 30 seconds. then its fine til I hit passing gear again.
I have read it might be a 'Shift Timing' solenoid ?
Where is this located and how hard is it to change. also any other ideas as to what it might be. I did have the code 1870 before.
