clunk sound

when i park on a hill or driveway and i put my truck into park. when i put it back into drive it makes a loud clunk and it is kind of hard to shift from park. is that u-joints ?

Could be u joints. Crawl underneath, and feel how much play is in the drive shaft.

Your slip yoke probably also needs to be greased. That is a common problem on these trucks.
