I have a 2000 z71 half ton. When I start from a stop, there has developed a clunking sound. Some clunks louder than others. It is hard to pinpoint where it is coming from and almost seems like it is coming from differing locations (i know it is not). Had u joints checked and they are fine. Any thoughts?

Most likely its your slip yoke, but other things to check are motor and transmission mounts.... but the slip yoke is the most common...
