Default knocking/clunking noise when i start driving.

ive got an 05 silverado, lifted, 35 inch mud tires. recently went wheeling (which i do every weekend), and got stuck in a pond, was sunk up to the door panels for about an hour before i got pulled out. ever since then i have been hearing a clunking noise when im stopped and then start driving. it doesnt happen all the time but you can feel it and hear it. im thinking its something with the tranny, because ive been underneath and dont see anything loose or broken but im honestly not sure. any ideas???

just a guess... but I had a lifted vehicle make a clunk when starting from a stop and it was the rear drive shaft, yolk slip joint that moves in and out from the tcase output shaft. It was binding and needed a special gm lubricant. the driveline angles change underload and the splined yolk would not easliy move to compensate for the length change.

I have a 91 K5 4WD. A couple of years ago mine was doing the same thing. Turned out it was a broken tranny mount. Have someone power brake it while you look at the mount. My transfer case was hitting the body causing the clunk.
