Cold Start Problem

So the 03 Silverado has had some problems starting cold. I replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the air filter, and replaced the spark plugs. The engine runs fine and I've had no lack of performance or any troubles with warm starts. It only gives me grief with the cold starts and usually fires up on the first (with strain) or second time. Any ideas on what to try next?
Thanks!

My guess is it's the original battery? Hey no sin, they work well for a long time. Then age and cable corrosion kicks in, and viola.
I didn't want to overreact when I changed my battery, by going overboard, so I got the biggest, highest rated, longest lasting gel-cell and the strongest warranty from one of the most popular parts stores around. I just hay-hay-hate getting stuck with a dead battery.
Most large parts stores will test your battery for free. Cables are @20$ and DIY.

check battery terminals take out bolts and check if have sulfate (salt) on the washer conector on 2 sides , clean w/ 2 tables spoon baking soda and 1 cup of hot water.
Check if it's clean the Throttle Position Sensor.
