Default Convert 4x4 to 2WD temp basis

I am working on my front differential on my 2005 2500HD silverado.

I am wondering if the front wheel bearings are strong enough to handle driving while the front diff and the axles are removed?

In essence I'm asking if I can remove the front diff and the front axles and still drive the truck without damaging the front wheel bearings?

I realize the front shaft from the transfer case needs to be removed as well.

Absolutely don't do it! Your hub will fall off. Trust me lol. Thought the same thing. You can pull the front case out, but make sure you put in the splined stubs off some old CV axles into the hub and tighten them down. You can ride like that for the time bein
