Exclamation Couldabeen sooooo much worse!

Last week i was out hauling stuff in the 89 c1500. First, had a buddy's wrecked Toyo on my trailer to haul to the scrap yard. A couple days later I was on I5 with my daughters hauling the horse trailer and horse for my daughter's lesson.

The next morning, I start the truck, put it in R and the entire RF collapsed! Lost a ball joint which looks to have taken out the other ball joint, tie rod end and brake backing plate. Luckily it was in my driveway and not at 65mph!

So,
please, please, please inspect your ball joints folks!!! The life you save could be your own!

The truck only had 157k miles on it. All is better now... 4 new BJ, new idler arm, pitman arm, tie rod ends and an alignment.

Look at it as your lucky day. Not as a negative day.

I just viewed it as an opportunity to warn others!

I always see 7year old plus trucks on the side of the road with one wheel twisted around due to a failed suspension component.
