Hello everyone.Nube here.Pretty nice site from what I have seen so far.I have a 2004 Silverado CC 4x4. I would like to get the front end up a bit and I was wondering if any body has any pics of how to level the front on my truck.Or which nuts to crank. I dont want to go under there and just start turning the wrong nuts.Thanks for any help. Thanks,Woody!

 

if you look up under your truck, follow the torsion bars back(one on each side and they come from the lower control arms I believe) follow them to the keys. it's not difficult they're bout halfway down the truck and you lift the front of the truck on a jack and crank away. one bolt on each side and however much you crank on one side you crank it on the other side. 10 full turns on one side you do the same to the other

 

make sure you're on level ground as well. measure the distance from the ground to the where the fenderwell starts in the middle in the rear on both sides and have your front end to that same measurement. drive it around after you're finished to let the suspension settle measure again. get an alignment after.

Well i cranked um up yesterday.I got about 2" of lift.Looks better, but not as high as others I have see.Maybe cause it's a crew cab? I noticed the bolts were not in the same depth.The driver side had a lot more room to go in. I did both 4 turns and the left side was all the way in? Any way thanks for the help.

 

just so u know u will wear out your tires faster now, the outside wears faster when the torsion bars get cranked...just so u know

 

its perfectly fine if they aren't the same length. just make sure you turn both bolts the same amount and not go by how much of the bolt is showing...and it make sure you get an alignment or yes it will wear out your tires faster.
