Ok I have an 88 c1500 reg cab short bed with Tbi 350 and manual 5 speed transmission.

Questions
1. Is my engine a roller motor & how can I tell? Besides pulling off the valve cover gasket.
2. Would there be any benefit making it a roller motor but using stock configurations?
3. What suggested upgrades could I do just to wake it up without getting crazy?

P.S. I like having the TBI I don't want to put a carburetor which I know come with limitations I am curious what are the factory specs that I would have to get for rocker arms, valves, lifters etc...
I do have some knowledge of repair work but when it comes to engine combinations and or specs. I am pretty much lost.
