2001 silverado diesel: eng surges at idle, oil pressure & rpm gauges fluctuate slightly at the same time, wonder if it might be oil related, any ideas?

 

Have you checked the fuel filter? It could also be injectors because they had problems with injectors with those years of trucks. I know GM will replace them if the truck has under 200K miles because on 01-02 diesels they extended the warranty on the injectors because of the problems they are having.</P>

 

is there any consistant time when it does this?
