Default Dome light won't come on when opening passenger door

I have a 2008 Silverado Crew Cab and the dome / courtesy lights come on for all doors except the front passenger door. I suspect it may be a wire or a fuse but all the other power options for that door are working. Anyone have an idea?

I wonder if the truck is sensing that the door is even open.

I do know where that is but I thought that switch was to over-ride the lights when any door is open. Am I missing a step?

you may be right.
if pushing the dash dome over-ride does not fix it you may need a new lock actuator. I would have someone with a scan tool view the door switch input data to the bcm. Usually, they provide a grd signal to the bcm, so if grding the wire changes the signal at the bcm...you need an actuator.
