I have a 2006 1/2 ton extended cab (4.8 Ltr) 2 WD. I cannot get my dome light to come on when I open my passenger door. Switch and drivers door work. Suggestions? I cannot see any plunger or door switch on the passenger side, is there one?

On my 2006 Silverado it was the driver's door latch that was causing the problem. I made a video that shows how to test it for having dirty switch contacts, and how to replace the entire assembly too. It fixed the problem on my 06. I'm sure it's the same setup on the passenger door as well.
