dual climate control
I have 2003 silverado with dual climate control and when heater is on passenger side works fine and drivers side only blows cold air. This seems to be common problem with chevy. About a year ago on my dual climate where contol adjustments are left side doesn,t light when instrument lights are on, but everything worked fine until now. I don,t think this has anything to do with problem but just pointing that out. I know they have recall on instrument cluster going bad on them also, but haven't had any problems with that. It seems like chevy probably pulled trick of finding cheapest supplier for climate control parts and used them and now are having problems with them and not standing behind there product. It's a shame cause between my family we have 4 chevys. I'm a union guy and only have bought American, but can't say that I will continue. I was just wandering if anyone can help and if anybody feels the same. I just think its a shame that their are over 200 posts on same issue and chevy won't stand behind their product.
Yeah, that dual climate control unit is @900$ just for the part, too.
It HAS been my sad experience that GM OEM parts are generally **** farmed out to the lowest bidder. I have much better luck with most common parts getting a name brand from a parts store, and I STILL pay less that at the GM dealer.
As for proud, it seems a horrendous legacy that one of the things GM can be LEAST proud of is it's shamefully arrogant, proprietary, money pandering customer service. They bankrupted their future chasing the maximum dollar of the present, instead of fostering our trust and future goodwill.
I can definitively state that GM has no honor,no shame, no pride, and will ultimately have NO CUSTOMERS.
