Dual climate problems - 2006 Silverado K1500
I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab K1500 with dual climate controls. The passenger side AC blows hot all the time. Now the drivers side AC is starting to blow hot all the time also, but sometimes blows cold after I restart the truck. It seems from reading the threads that it could be the HVAC actuators. Is there anything I can do myself before I take it to the dealer and pay the $600 or more to have it repaired?

Seems like the blend door actuators on each side are stuck or mis-positioned. You might try unhooking battery for a few minutes will allow them to reset. Before you do this, turn on the heater and set the thermostat to full hot and then turn off the truck and unhook the battery. When you reconnect the battery and start vehicle the actuators will relearn themselves--meaning they will move from one end to the other. if this does not work, the actuators may need to be replaced to get this fixed. This may be something you can do yourself depending on your experience and desire... Good luck!

2008 Silverado 1500 dual ac
My dual ac controls sound like the same problem. My truck has only 15,000 and is only a year old. The dual ac has to be turned off to keep the hot air out of the cabin. It is going back to the dealership this week....
