A little late, but...
(For those of us that search through threads looking for some type of answer that works.)
Something you might check before spending the bucks to replace an alternator, positive & negative terminals! The terminals can become corrroded, and not make a proper connection. In the last 10 years, I have seen this cause dead batteries (or so they thought!), little OR no-charging of the battery, door locks that won't release, alternator dash light to illuminate, clicking noises when starting/turning over the stater. Even radio static. All because the terminals were corroded.
About once a year, CLEAN THOSE BATTERY TEMINALS!
Lived through this mistake, and I became wiser!
