Electronic Trouble..Need Help ASAP
Hey everyone my name is Chris and I am new to this forum. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado LT 4x4. The truck has approximately 64,500 miles on it and was running perfect.
I was driving home from work today when my oil change message came on, which I was aware of. I continued to drive and all my door locks started to open and close three times. At the same time a new message appeared stating "service traction control". At the same time all my gauges started to go all over the place including my temp in the mirror. I only drive 4 miles to work and it did it three times on the way back home. Do yal have any ideas what happened?
The only mods to the truck is a 4 inch lift with 38 inch Nitto Grapplers and all the lift and body work was with legit RBP parts. I never had a problem before with this truck, please help I need the truck for work.
Also I posted this in two sections I did not know where it would be best at sorry.
Thanks
Chris

My 07 Vortec max is doing the same thing except my locks aren't cycling. I took my in and the dealer was able to get 30 codes out of the thing. They mentioned a cable that runs along the park brake that gets chaffed, or the body ground on the drivers side gets pinched and cut. Neither one was my problem. I have another appointment on Wednesday to see if they can find it. Also the checked to see if the BCM (body control module) had the latest update, which mine does.
Is your truck still acting up ? I had mine checked again and they got 39 codes out of it this time. No answer on what is causing it yet. My local dealer will check for codes at no charge. Maybe yours will. search this forum for electrical and youll see one that has silverado 1500 big problems in the title. It gives alot on things you can check on you own.
