engine hot
hey folks, just out for a ride, when i noticed the temp. gauge is not registing a temp. and in the trip window, it reads, engine hot, a/c shut off. i pulled over and everything looked o.k.. i'm thinking some sensor is not working.any thoughts. thanks
Yeah the sensor is bad or the gauge is bad( i would guess sensor), what is year make on this truck. Also, if you aren't getting a reading, then it tells you to shut off engine just to be safe.
just got back from dealer and it was a bad thermostate, they said that the thermostate stays open when it goes bad as a safety valve, thats why gauge showed no raise in temp and it shuts off a/c.
