I purchased an 88 K1500 for $600 a couple weeks ago, runs good but trans has no reverse. i've been pondering on some ideas for it but dont know which route to go. i was going to rebuild the transmission and then build the small block in it but now i'm kind of thinking of swapping the engine and transmission out for either an LS or an older big block. i can get a full donor 1974 chevy with a built 454 and turbo 400 cheap. i'm just wanting some swap ideas because i still dont know what i want to do.
