Hi Everyone. Does anyone know how to play with timing on a 2000 Silverado 5.3. I wanted to see if any advance would up my performance or mileage. I noticed that there is no distributor but 8 seperate coils. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

The only timing you can adust on that is the timing chain. The advance is done by the computer.

 

You could have someone reprogram the PCM with a program like TunerCat or something like that. Don't expect huge gains though. IMO not even worth it.
