my 1996 chevy 1500 wont start.. the lights in the dash dont turn on...
i have to wait a couple of second for power to go through and all the lights in the dash turn on and fuel pump .. then it starts...
i am thinking its a relay that bad... or the ignition switch

 

have you taken a voltmeter to the battery to see if it has proper voltage?
So what heppens if you just try to start it? does it make a clicking sound?

 

the voltage is good.. it starts but when i turn the key to crank it it takes awhile for all the lights in dash to turn on...then it starts up
