Gear Shift Cable Problem?
Hi,
I have a 99 Silverado 1500 LS 4x4. It's an automatic. The problem I'm having is with shifting from Park into the gears. When I pull on the shift lever, I can move it up and down in its full range, but the truck will only shift into Reverse. It's like something is slipping and it won't pull the cable fully or far enough to place the transmission in the remaining gear slots beyond Reverse. Has anyone had this problem or know how to troubleshoot it? Thanks!
