Default grease on my lower control arm?

93 silverado z71 250,000 miles 5.7L

I noticed that there is grease on the lower control arm. Its not fluid, ITS GREASE. Is this something bad? Could it just be that it was replaced by the previous owner and then put grease on it or did they put grease on it to hide something? The grease is right where it bolts up to the wheel. Just bought the truck about 2 weeks ago.

EDIT: I dont think its the lower control arm. I believe its the bigger arm above the lower control arm.

It's not from the CV boots. I believe it is around the ball joint. I dont get any vibrations while driving around town to and from work. I got on the highway when I first bought it and did 50-60 and didnt get any vibrations. So I guess its not something bad.

I'd say just keep an eye on the front end for awhile. You're prolly good then.

i cant really tell if its a ball joint or what. The wheel is in the way. But I saw it the other day and it was shining so I stuck my screwdriver on it and it was just grease. I am pretty sure its a ball joint.

they mightve just greased the ball joints at the dealership or recently been greased before I bought the truck.
