Heated mirrors

Hello...new to the forum. Got a question....I have a 02 1500 Z71 with heated mirrors. What are the chances of both heaters going out around the same time? I put a meter to the quick connect at the door post and it is getiing current. If they are both bad, would you trust ebay for a new one(it is not GM). Thanks.
