Help!! 2000 4X4 Ticking Sound From Driver Side Front Wheel
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 with 160k on it.
I had the tranny filter changed at the chevy dealer, and now I have a ticking sound. It is coming from the drivers side front wheel. Sounds like a zip tie in a bicycle spoke. I can hear it well in the cab. I looked all around the wheel and don't see anything lose.
The dealer says I need the transfer case rebuilt, but it does not leak. Aamco says it is the front dif and the bearings went out.
Has anyone had this problem? Both are wanting $$$$$ thousands to fix it. If you need anymore detail, please ask.
Thanks
