Default Help

2000 Silverado with 4.3 engine, 115,000 miles.
Plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, coil, ign module, cam sensor, all recently changed. Engine will start sometimes and will idle normally. Try to accelerate & engine dies. Checked fuel pump, it works. Have not checked fuel pressure. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS TRUCK? The last two months I have been fighting this thing trying to get it to run properly.

Start with the fuel pressure coming into the regulator then check the pressure after the regulater.

Fuel is not the problem. Pressure is good. No ignition. Engine will not fire. The only part of the ignition that has not been changed is the distributor. Replaced the distributor drive gear about 60 days ago. engine ran good until three days ago, then just died & will not start. Engine has not run right for the last three months. I have spent almost $1,000 at dealership trying to get this P O S to run.
This is the first GM product I have owned in 20 years & it will be the last. mad:
