My 2002 gmc k1500 is stuck in 4low(electronic shift) with a service transmission warning on the dic. 'm stuck in a small town. There is a mechanic wit a mac mentor, but he says he doesn' know what to look for.
I put the truc into 4low to pull out a hunting bddy and now it won't come out.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED.

 

Try switching it into anything with it rolling 2-3 mph.

 

The Owners Manual for my 98 K1500 says get the truck rolling slow, 2-3 as Kevin said, put the tranny in neutral, then shift the transfer case? I think my 98 is the last year for manual shifting transfer cases, though.
