Here is my situation....

The muffler shop I had planned on going to for my exaust is closed on weekends so I decided to run to a close meinke to see what they could do I know probably a mistake...I have already purchased a single 3. In dual 2.50 out Flowmaster 40 muffler the dude at meinke said no way no how can this fit on my 2006 2500hd 6.0 but I've seen tons of single in dual out 6.0's I asked him about a y pipe and he looked at me like I had 3 heads so what's the deal? Will this be fine on my truck? My trucks stock muffler is a dual in single out thanks...also quoted me 600 dollars for pipe work

 

Recommend taking the vehicle to a shop that has a good reputation other than one of those nation wide chains. If the guy does not know what a y-pipe is then I would not give him my business, $600 sounds a bit steep to me.

Let your fingers do the walking and make a few calls.
