help 98 chevy silverado fuel pump?

help 98 chevy silverado fuel pump?
My truck has drove hreat out of nowhere today it died while driving amd acts like its getting to fuel to start. Dowsnt sound like the fuel pumps running if I turn the key....am I right or any other suggestions before I dump uneeded money in it.

welcome to the forum...
Check the fuel pressure, this will tell you if you need to start at the pump or not...you need to see pressure above 50psi and it needs to be steady...
A fuel pressure gauge will set you back $25 at harbor fright...
