help cant figure out help

Default help cant figure out help

anyone have any ideas what my problem could be.....
i have a 94 k2500 4x4 5.7.......it shuts off on idle, in park and in gear as well as coming to a stop and if you take foot off gas and push again....also when shuts off wont start for atleast 30 min.....
i have changed egr,egr solinoid,ecm,map,coil,fuel pump,fuel pump relay,fuel pressure regulator,rebuilt throttle body....
please help...thanx

Ditto to Allan. Sounds like the ignition switch is worn out.

By chance do you keep a lot of keys on the same key ring with your truck key? If so, take off as many as you can. The extra weight can wear down the internal parts of the ignition switch. (yes I know that keys don't weigh a lot, but for the ignition switch, anything more than the ignition key is extra and unnecessary weight). I use a quick disconnect key ring to keep the extra keys off the key ring with the ignition.

i changed ignition switch did not change now turns over sometimes starts does not run long..when you turn key sometimes you hear pump most times dont and smells like flooding with fuel..what do i do any ideas about to get rid of truck

yes i did.....it ran with no problem for about 15 min i turned on and of repeatedly about 10 times started every time let idle for 15-20 min turned off for about 1hr and would not start...if i let it go cold it will start drive about 2 blocks will turn off sometimes it will restart if i turn it off come for couple min wont start for atleast 20 45 min and then starts ....i am lost dont know what to do...also turns off when braking to turn or stop have to flutter gas...

I would think more along the line of the pickup assembly inside the distributor.

I learned one thing many many years ago - if you're going to guess start with the cheapest part first.
