Looking to install a super 44 in my 04 silverado 1500 z71. Need to know what size the oem exhaust pipe is? Tailpipe measures 2 5/8"?? Weird size. But some people say it's 2 3/4" some people say it's 3"? Are they one size or did they use two different size pipes in the 1500? Any help is great. Need to know what inlet outlet I should get on muffler

 

Stock is 2 3/4 but people use 3" in 3" out since it'll slip fit over the existing pipe

 

All set. Bought 3 in 3 out super 44 and couple reducers and welded her up. Sounds good.
