Anyone hear of high idle after the truck has been warmed? Seems like when I start the truck after it has ran for a while it will idle high, around 2K. I have noticed that if I hold the key on just a second to long it will idle high. When the truck is cold I idles perfectly. Any ideas of what may be causing this?

 

What are we working on? My crystal ball is in the shop.

coolant temp sensor temp located beside thermostat housing.

 

Reading about this on the net tells me this controls the temp gauge doesn't seem to be my problem, why do you think this could be my problem? Thanks for the response

Talking about the one ecu uses to adjust fuel... it is a major sensor player
in running right.
