Silverado, Sierra & Fullsize Pick-upsThe Silverado & Sierra have been two of the best selling trucks in the US for decades, and is truly proven to be "like a rock".
1993 Silverado 1500 6cyl 4.3 vortec motor has 524,769miles on it engine is still strong as ever no smoke no tics or dings, purrrrs like a kitten. has had some tranny troubles but after replacing 3rd gear solenoid its been excellent. am getting around to repainting and upgrading the sound system. Trying to by pass factory amp in in a little confused on the wiring.
My 02 Chevy Tahoe hit 350,000 miles on this Christmas Eve. Same motor, transmission, rear end, and other major crap... She ticks a little and make a few other noises to let me know she is still running. Bought her brand new so all miles are mine. Been fun

I need some help. I am new on here and didnt know where to go. My 1990 chevy k1500 5.7 V8 isnt firing on numbers 3 and 4. I know it has a gas leak and it does drive just fine. It shoots gas out of the left pipe on the exaust. By the way its got dual exhaust on it. My guess is the spark isnt hitting on 3 and 4. The truck has 170,000 miles and is super clean. except for a little rust on the bottom. Any help is a apreciated.
Justin
GM needs to get a high mileage club going and fast. I know theres alot of people out there driving there 200+km truck wishing they had the shiny badge to show off to the high society of Fords n dodges that need to be serviced every 10,000k whilst our old gas guzzling, black smoke bellowing, straight pipe singing chevy's are still kickin *** driving by their dealerships! I am a proud owner of a 96 silverado k2500 that has 383,000 km on it! and shes still purrs like a kitten. It sports the 350 vortec and barely burns any oil. I can't take all the credit becuase it was second hand but man the owner before took pride in his **** and that truck has yet to show a speck of rust.
So please everyone strut their stuff AND GET US SOME BADGES!!!!
Recently purchased a 99 GMC 7.4 Suburban for a camping\overland. Little bit of rust on passenger door bottoms and rear quarter, a little up top, but that'll be fixed. Replaced the stock Txfr, front brake suite, tune up and battery, fuel filter, couple other small things. Engine runs like honey, oil when I changed it was nice black and silky, no churny or chunks at all, magnet wiped clean after 100M drive before I changed it.
Plan on taking it to the moon and back. Anyone that has the experience, please share how you kept them going and things I can do as preventive maintenance. Lol, it's been an adventure, but finding out brake calipers are hanging up while cruising down the interstate sucks. Shes a great truck, undercarriage is still completely clean and rust free, control arms have the barest surface rust, but brushes off. Just needs anything that should be replaced by 300k anyways

I have a 2000 suburban 2 wheel drive LT edition that has 800,000 miles on it it still has the factory engine and transmission never replaced or overhauled the only major issue I’ve ever had on it was the rear end pinion bearing going out last year other then that just the common problems replaced the factory fuel pump at 550,697 a few alternators and batteries over the years and just regular maintenance and servicing every the oil every 3500 miles and it still runs and drives great I also just redone the whole front and rear suspension and went with all polyurethane bushings it has the complete K&N cold air system I did away with the clutch fan for a set of electrical fan system off a 2005 gmc 1500 and did away with the factory exhaust system and went with hooker long tube headers with dual 3” stainless steel exhaust with dual flowmaster mufflers and I’m getting ready to repaint it and change the color from white to matte gun metal gray with matte black fender flares and it already has a set of 20×12” matte black Fuel Maverick rims on it and I drive it daily and also pull a trailer between 3 to 5 times a week with it sometimes hauling loads of up to 10,000 pounds with it and it still pulls better and handles better then my old 1996 Ford F-250 I had
