I have a 94 k1500 suburban with stock 245 75r16 ie 30x9.50 only get 9mpg all stock so the post of 33 being the cause of poor mpg is bogus these trucks were offered in a 2500 with 285 75r16 ie 33x11.50 so this is why I can run them with no speedo. Of odometer change same with 95 c1500 Silverado I went to bigger tire's on it and got better than 17 to the gallon with a 5.0 or 305 but my burbon has a 5.7 350 same block just different heads the reason for poor fuel economy on the suburban is power to weight ratio 190 hp stock 236 fp of tq stock and 5200lbs of steel
