i need some help

my 96 1500 4.3L has black smoke coming from tailpipe. i had a converter that was clogged i replaced it then thats when the black smoke started.i changed pulgs & wires not cap & rotor replaced o2sensor {before converter} still no change does any have any ideas would really be helpful

Check your fuel pressure, if your fuel pressure regulator is bad, it will cause your engine to run rich
