Default Installing block heater(s)

Anyone done this? Looking for guidance and advice. I got "volunteered" to install a heater in LOML's friend's truck. It's a 1999 with a 350. Removing the plug and putting in the heater I know, I've done it on other engines, I'm trying to figure out how access the plugs.
What's the best way to go about this? Up from underneath?

Thanks

Theyn used to make "heated dipsticks", which would be a lot easier. Just a thought.
