I have a 1997 GMC 2500. It has a Kelsey electronic brake controller. How do you adjust the lever on the left side of the controller? The right side has the min/max for braking. I was told adjust the lever until the red light turns orange, well it only flickers red, stays red, or goes out. Can anyone help, I have had no luck finding any directions, etc. on-line.

I'm not sure. There is nothing on the face or bottom. I'll have to get back to you on that one after I remove it from the dash and see if there is anything else that I can't see.

 

Damon, does it say ENERGIZER on it? i believe the lever you are asking about is to balance the box. these particular boxes can be mounted pretty much any direction, you just adjust the lever to trick into thinking it's mounted flat and even with the truck. i've always adjusted it while towing. roll slowly on flat ground with trailer, tap the truck brakes, adjust the lever while tapping brakes until trailer brakes feel like they are grabbing evenly, not too hard or too soft. the min/max is to fine tune it.
