Default Kelsey Hayes ABS Delete?

So I sold my 93 K2500 Suburban 454tbi,
Now I have a 97 K2500 Suburban with a 350 Vortec

I noticed on my current Burb that I have that big Kelsey Hayes ABS box on the drivers side inner fender, you know.....

My 93 Burb however did not......all of the pig tails, connectors, bracket, and even the bolts were still screwed in the bracket as if something was there, but the ABS box wasn't.....My 93 had good brakes, they worked fine, but I was wondering if there was some way to rid yourself of that beast, or was my 93 some sort of anomaly? Honestly I always wondered what went in that spot on my fender, the wires, the bracket, pluggs, etc., and now with my newest Burb I see what was most likely in that spot.

Just a curiosity question......

Why would you want to do away with the ABS or am I misunderstanding you?

Nope....I was just curious as to what someone may have done to my other Burb to remove it......There were no lights on the dash, and it was honestly in better shape than my current......Mostly I was just curious as to how it could've been missing or if there has to be some other explanation....

on older cars ABS was often an option... so maybe it just didn't have that option?

You may be right......it was just strange that all the harness connectors were there as well as the bracket.

I'm not going to look into deleting mine, it was merely an observation.

Honestly though, my other burb had a harness with three huge connectors zip tied to the bracket where the ABS module goes......just had me wondering....

most vehicles are built with all wiring intact... it's easier/cheaper/faster to build one of something than all custom.

most TJ wranglers have the wiring for the switch and fog lights... just not the actual switch or lights unless you order that option.

check your front hubs for wheel speed sensors... they should only exist if you have ABS.
