Default leaf springs 98 silverado 2500

I have my 98 silverado 2500 extended cab long bed. is there anyway to soften the ride in the rear? I know it's a 2500, but for the price I was not going to let it pass by last summer. spring swap or any idea's, I dont haul anything of weight with it.... thanks

there is not a lot you can do it's a work truck ,but you can drop a leaf out of each rear spring and put some monroe sensa trac shock's they ride good ! if you need the capicity back rear air bag's added will bring it back .

Springs from a 88-98 1500 will swap. But I don't think the ride os that much different between the 2. Dropping a leaf outta each side doesn't sound like a bad idea. Just make sure the u-bolts are good.

The best option would be 1500 leaf springs and shocks.

You could probably get it all used for under 200. And replace it all in a few hours.
