Default Leaving truck loaded

Not me - the truck! I picked up some lumber to build a deck, and the truck is heavily loaded. Will it cause any damage if left there for 24 hrs? It's a 94 1500. Thanks. (it started pouring down rain)

Got an answer on the GMAC Forum:

"If it will hold it for a minute, it will hold it for a month"

Thanks,

What if you had to hump it to Alaska? It'll be OK.

Yeah. the truck suspension is designed to hold large load for long periods of time or large loads for just a few minutes. I have left a 3000 lb boat (~1000lb tongue weight)hooked up to a 96 K1500 for nearly a week. Nothing damaged at all.
