2011 Silverado with 113,000 miles started tapping, stabilizer, traction and engine light came on. Engine running rough and shifting hard. Dealership service said I have bad lifters and maybe a damaged cam shaft. Anyone have this issue?
I have read through some of these and saw a bad throttle body has some of these symptoms but not the tapping.

Welcome to the forum...
What you likely have is the AFM failure. One or more of the active fuel management lifters has collapsed and is now gouging out the lifter bore and scoring the face of the cam lobe.....
A compression check can verify the collapsed lifter(s)
How has your oil usage been? having to add a quart or so?

Oil level is fine. Everything started happening all at once. Cost me $3200 for a lifter job. Didn't even take it out of the dealership repair shop. Bought a new GMC 3/4 ton at the dealership. Didn't get one with the AFM system. Called Corporate Chevrolet but didn't do anything to help me. Not real happy with them. They need to trash that AFM system. Bad design. If my friend didn't own the GMC dealership I would have bought a Ford.
