I don't know, perhaps to find the answer from post #6?

It sounds like you seem to know an awful lot, yet know very little?

Is it a "Z71"?

What exactly do you mean by " THE off-road 4X4"?

Does it state that on your window sticker, too?

First, none of us has any idea HOW MUCH fluid you put in your diff. How about counting the empty bottles?

Second, you're looking for very specific answers and doing NO research yourself, nor providing ANY specific information about your truck. I wasn't aware that Chevy made "The Offroad 4X4 Truck" in the 1997 model year. Chevy made a few 4X4s for offroad that year. Got a specific name or ID for it? The SPI sticker is going to identify exactly what's in the truck.
