I have a nvg 246. Tranfer case I think LOL
Anyway I get a clunk when I take off and not the ujoints
Last post I was told look at chain not sure I can but I seen a video to open it and upgrade pump but if chain is worn can I be replaced or tightened or what never worked on a tcase

That "thump" is caused by spring wrap. Lube the slip yoke splines.

I would agree, do a forum search for slip yoke and there are how-to's

 

mine was the rear end it still has alot of play going to make it pos rear end so didnt mess with it yet
