Default Lock not unlocking

Hey folks. I replaced my door handle for a second time due to theifs in my area and this time i had a friend shut my door before i could test the handle and lock before i closed the door. well, with that being said the truck was in lock and the door is locked shut with the panel on the door and after fiddling with the lock rod it just fell out. now i am stuck in a bad situation where i have some access since i can bend the door panel out but cant get full access cause the plastic hooks on the panel are behind the panel butt up against the dash. question is, is there a way to manually unlock the door? if so does someone have a diagram of a silverado door so i can locate it or can someone explain in detail how to get to it? im getting close to ripping the interior panel off or just busting the new handle to try to open the door since i cant take the new one off since access to the one screw is in the door jam. ive had a locksmith and two mechanics look at it and they got no where but i know someone has to know something. any info will be much appreciated
