Lookin for some advice
I have a 06 Silverado 1500 that Im lookin to sink some of my deployment money into. Right before I deployed I put a Flowmaster 40 series exhaust on my truck now Im lookin to get some more horsepower out of her. I want to put some headers and a K&N 77 series cold air intake on it. Im also looking at the Superchips Cortex for my truck. I want to put a good throttle body on her but I know absolutely nothing about throttle bodies. Any help there would be appreciated. Any other suggestions about types of headers that work real well or any other modificiations that yall could suggest would help alot.

First off thanks for your service!!! Second It looks like your off to a good start!! I'm not sure if Holley makes a throttle body for your truck but you might wan't to look into it.

Everytime I get a chance, I recommend Hooker Super Competition Headers. As for horsepower gains, if you really want a 'bang for your buck' upgrade, check out some cam kits. Camshaft, heads, and an entirely new valvetrain.

You will not accomplish any HP gains by changing the t- body. The best bang for your buck for reasonable amount of money would be a custom Black Bear Tune. Unless you want the pricier repair and make internal engine mods as stated above
