I have a 2007 4x4 classic everything stock and with 3.08 gears. Its has a 6 i.ch life with 35 inch tires. I haul boats just about everyday. I was thinking about adding a turbo, custom exhaust, and a custom tune! Will this put to much strain on my tranny? Should i change to 3.73 or 4.11 gears?

 

Are you sure you have 3.08s? I've never heard of chevy puttin that high of a gear in a 4x4. Most have 3.73s and some have 3.42s

 

I thought it odd also. I looked the code up that was in the glovebox and it says 3.08
